I'm a beginning dulcimer player and this book is too juvenile to be useful. Sample writing: There is a fine line between Colorado and Kansas also. You can hardly tell when you cross over. But if you think playing on two strings has become about as boring as driving across Kansas, you can always play all three strings. OR oh, by the way, there is a very thick line between being in tune and being out of tune in other words it is very obvious. Do not play out of tune or you could become a victim of music rage. OR There are several advantages for choosing to play a dulcimer. One is that expectations are fairly low. Even a basic statement by the author that a dulcimer has only 3 or 4 strings is incorrect. Guess my 5 string double melody dulcimer doesn't exist.
