Turkish Experiences By Ersin Onulduran I enjoyed reading this book even though I am a Turk and quite naturally experienced the the kinds of thing Janice Dobson talks bout since my childhood. The narrative does not run very smoothly at times, but all in all it will be an informative and entertaining book especially for foreigners who live or are panning to live in Turkey.

By Bonnie I enjoyed the short-story style of the book which made it very entertaining and easy to read. Ms. Dobson has given her readers a glimpse into her day-to-day life while living in Turkey for over seven years. Many of the events she describes are funny as she explains the idiosyncrasies of the Turkish culture. I would recommend the book to anyone traveling to Turkey, especially if planning to stay there for a lengthy time, or just to the casual reader who enjoys reading about other cultures and countries.

The author uses her own experiences of living as an expat in Turkey to tell of daily encounters, the humor in observing cultural differences, and the beauty of discovering the unusual.If one is looking for an easy read, with interest and an Americans point of view, this certainly fills the criterion. Having short segments makes this a great read to pick up at any moment.Give it a try.
