About the Author DAVE AGANS, corrupted by Mad Magazine and Get Smart at an early age, began writing spy spoofs in the sixth grade (during class). He has since written the musical comedy Hot Buttons, dozens of comic stage monologues, and the timeless, humorous technical book Debugging. Dave can be recognized on southern New Hampshire golf courses by his flawed swing and on the roads by his AMUSED license plate.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. A quick-witted thriller. By Cairo commuter Urban Legion is a fast-paced, spirited comedy. Each scene turns something high-tech on its head, and ordinary objects and events are found to be not so ordinary after all. Hidden forces of good and evil are manipulating everyday life, not so much that most people would notice, but enough to create obstacles as a single mom tries to rescue her daughter from an ingenious method of mind control. Conspiracies abound. As the tension mounts, you may be tempted to quicken your pace and read faster. Don't. You'll miss what's best about this book - the clever wordplay. Sometimes it's within a single word, like a tranquilizer called, "dammitol," other times it's embedded in a scene or a moment of action. This is an creative, inventive novel both in concept and on every page. It deserves to be savored.

By Bonnie You will like this book if you enjoy a bit of mystery, a smattering of romance, a dash of adventure and a strong dose of clever wordplay. You will love this book if you enjoy a classic battle of good-vs-evil laced with urban legends and conspiracy theories. This madcap romp through Boston will keep you entertained and laughing from start to finish. Agans has a gift for creating memorable characters, and weaving sarcasm and wit throughout his clever plot lines. Read this book - you won't be disappointed!

The book has lots of cool engineering (some definitely possible, some some plausible and other hopefully not possible). The characters are well developed and quite believable. Definitely will check out the next book in the series, assuming there is one.
