About the Author Joan Aubele was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and now resides in rural Lake Holiday, IL with her husband. They’ve raised three daughters, and to date, have three little grandsons. Before her diagnosis of Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, Joan lived the fast track lifestyle of a corporate sales manager. Several years ago, her eldest daughter treated her to an inspirational Christian women’s conference. Although spending time with her family remains her number one priority, Joan is working toward being one of those speakers to help make a difference in people’s lives. She currently sells scarves of her own design to inspire other women, and donates a portion of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society.

A Story of Love, Faith and Survival by Joan Aubele By Mitch Weiss Yesterday, I received my copy of The Dance: A Story of Love, Faith and Survival by Joan Aubele. Today I started to read it....and finished reading it because I could not put it down. This book will touch the soul of anyone who has been through a difficult time in his life. It is funny, tragic, uplifting, infuriating and ultimately, inspiring. Joan's message is straight forward: FIGHT. Don't ever give up. Joan Aubele, I know it took a long time to finish telling your story, but I thank you for finally doing it. I, too, believe in miracles!

By Cynthia Ribbens If you are looking for a true story to lift your spirits and give you reasons as why you should always try to stay positive, this is the book for you. This is a very easy read, and once you pick it up you won't want to put it down. Joan and her family just have one obstacle after another thrown at them, but each time they just take a breath, shake it off, and keep pressing forward. Even for those that aren't religious, it's easy to see the miracles that happen in her life and you can't help but just know that it is God at work. And then there is the underlying note that you can't help but feel good about. Love conquers all!

A quick read,I did not put it down and I read it front to back as soon as I took it out of mailbox. A book to keep for one's self to lift your soul and spirit if you think you are having a 'bad' day. I felt part of Joan's journey. Joan's husband is her hero as well as her kids and family,You could feel the love and emotions with each turn of the page. It is sincere and pure. Inspiring.5 stars for sure.A Davies
