Excellent for both beginner and advanced painter By A Customer Terrific book for learning how to paint miniatures (great step-by-step instructions with illustrations,) and also learning the interesting history of the medium. Although I myself am a long-time artist of miniatures, I picked up a lot of tips and tricks.

Information on technical tools, materials, framing etc. All in colour it is amazing how present painters, as well as the first artists can make these little pictures glow.

By Rhoda Ramirez de Arellano I bought this book years ago after taking one class from Ms. Willies. Unfortunately I lost it in a house fire so I'm thrilled to be replacing it now. I feel that this book is well worth the investment if you are interested in exploring this particular technique.
