Almost every part of the globe has legends or stories about dragons. Before, I can't draw dragons because they look so complex. With the help of this book, I didn't know how easy it is to draw dragons. Like no one would ever look at me in wonder again what my drawing is. It's like meditating when you're drawing a dragon. It's so cool!

They are at first but with a little practice anyone can master this art! This book explains how to draw each form of the dragon in a way that is easy and clear to understand. It is important to start with basic shapes and work up to larger ones. Adding detail slowly until the drawing is finished is usually the proper method. Dragons are beautiful creatures. I would recommend this book to any artists out there!

LeBel I served with Mat during a deployment to Iraq. His stores are told very well in this book and cover everything Soldiers do in between the Hollywood action, lol. Way too angsty By kelly The heroine is too much of a victim: she is physically abused by her family, verbally abused by the hero at some point, emotionally abused by everybody! While at moments she handles her situation with aplomb and courage, it's too difficult of a journey to swallow. The "big misunderstanding" that the main characters experience is so prolonged and protracted that it's very difficult to sincerely believe in a happily ever after. Seriously, she could have done better, moved on with her life, and found another guy.

This story is darker and gritty compared to most regency stories and I loved every minute of it.The story concerns a group of Irish radicals, Brethren of the Lords (spies of the English crown) and the lady caught between the two. The author has a talent for creating strong female characters who refuse to be victim to their circumstances and Georgina Wilcox is no different. She has grown up the daughter of the leader of an Irish radical group. Her father is a bitter and anger man and has beat his daughter her entire life. Despite her hell, Georgina refuses to let her Father win. She stands up to him and vows to bring his operation down.Adam Markham has been betrayed by a member of the Brethren and is no being held captive by Georgina's father. Through his month of captivity Georgina takes care of Adam and a relationship begins to develop between the two. Georgina not wanting to be lumped in with her father, lies to Adam about who she really is. The decision will come back to haunt Georgina.Georgian and Adam road to happiness is long, winding and full of pitfalls. As lies are told the truth becomes harder to see and believe and danger lurks around every corner.disclaimer: I bought this story as part of any anthology that was released earlier.

There's never an end to learning storytelling. It's just a fact. When a professional takes the time to explain the basic path, it's useful to listen. Dean thankful has habits of paying it forward and myth breaking.

I, in the end, found myself not agreeing with most of what he said. I have known stage four writers and they do edit. The days of Harlan Elison and Heinlien submitting without revisions are gone. Even Stephen King takes years on his books.I think that he does try to bring about a logical progression. I just am not sure that I agree with his examples.

This and the next two books were originally published under the author Amber Lin. Okay so maybe the author needs sales but to break up a book into three just for more sales....this is getting toooooo greedy. I will not buy this author anymore

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Love Luke and Shelly!!! By Sammy Baker The Chicago Underground series is becoming one of my favorite series ever. In Wild, we get Luke and Shelly’s story. Skye Warren is brilliant putting together these two characters who are facing seemingly impossible odds. You have a cop and a prostitute, two people who by nature are at odds with each other, yet these two can’t seem to resist the pull between them. Luke is so sweet, so caring and protective, and Shelly finds it hard to keep her guard up around him. He is the only person who truly sees her, and that unnerves her. I loved seeing them interact with each other, and although they didn’t get much time together in this book, their chemistry was smoking hot during the times they were together. I can’t wait to see how things are going to progress from here. Skye Warren has an amazing talent for putting her characters through obstacles that seem impossible to overcome, only to have them come through in ways that are believable and not over the top. I’m looking forward to more Luke and Shelly in the next two installments of this fantastic series.

Fearing for her life, she goes to Luke for help and overhears him on the phone, feeling betrayed she ends up running to Philip. Philip has this sexy hot dark side and Luke is sweet and protective. I am loving both of these men very much. You also meet Ella, who has her own secrets. I can't wait to see how the story develops and what the next obstacle will be for Shelly. This book ends in a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more.Thank you for another great read Skye.

Yang Liu: East meets WestYang Liu

About the Author Yang Liu was born in 1976 in Beijing. After studying at the University of Arts Berlin (UdK), she worked as a designer in Singapore, London, Berlin and New York. In 2004 she founded her own design studio, which she continues to run today. In 2010 she was appointed a professor at the BTK University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. It makes you think for awhile which is terrific but I wish there was an answer key in the back for the ones I couldn't figure out. I also wonder if non visual thinkers learners would have a harder time than I did.

About the Author

David Abrahamson is a professor of Journalism and the Charles Deering Professor of Teaching Excellence at the Northwestern University’s Medill School, where he teaches courses exploring the changing nature of long-form journalism. He is the author of Magazine-Made America: The Cultural Transformation of the Postwar Periodical and editor of The American Magazine: Research Perspectives and Prospects.

Marcia R. Prior-Miller is an associate professor emeritus of Journalism and Mass Communication at the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State University, where she led the magazine program. She is the compiler of the Bibliography of Published Research on Magazine and Journal Periodicals, now in its 9th edition, and serves on the editorial board of Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly.

By melissa lee I don't know what happened but I loved the first two books in this series and while I skipped the 3rd I was looking forward to Rob's story. My first problem was that it was boring, there was too much description and not alot of dialog and the author seemed to keep repeating the same thoughts over and over. But honestly I could have forgiven that. What I could not forgive was her writing the h as a veritable shrew. I'm sorry I can completely understand why the h would be angry at the H, and I would cheer her on and hope she makes him work for forgiveness. But I cannot stand behind a h who hates her own child. She loves the one that was easy to birth and hates the one who was hard. She feels the scar on his ankle from being too crowded in the womb with his brother is just rewards for the pain and fear of death he put her through. She didn't feel she should be burdened with taking care of two babies so only chose one while the other was handed over to a nurse maid. She was fearful for Harry (the baby she loved) being taken away but cried at having to nurse Ralf (the babe she didn't love) because she didn't want to feed him. I was so disgusted. I kept thinking she would realize the error of her ways and she would think something like "this is unfair of me to no love him" and then in the next instant reject him all over again. Then the hero comes along and kidnapps her and the babes and inserts himself as lord and comander and is suprised that the hero isn't happy to see him. After he promised to return for her so they could marry and then left her for two years with no intention of going back. I could never figure out why he decided not to go back for her even though he claimed to still be in love with her. Then after two days of her being mad at him he decides she is a shrew and he doesn't care, he will marry her to legitmize his boys but then she can leave and he will keep the babies. Understandably he is angry that she prefers one child over the other but instead of the author using him as a catalyst to see how wrong she is being he is simply disgusted with her and wants her gone. He knows there is a story there but doesn't care. And to be fare this is where I stopped reading. I'm sorry I couldn't take it anymore. It was too depressing. His reasons for not returning, her reasons for not loving ralf, and all of it together was too ridiculous and honestly I did not feel the need to keep pressing forward when it was just making me angry. Maybe the book would have gotten better but in my mind there was no redemption for the h and H was too stupid and in my mind even abit cowardly for words. I'm so disappointed I loved Rob in the other books and thought he was deserving of a story above and beyond but this was one of the worst things I have read.

I loved this one By Mrs. Helen Sibbritt I am really loving this series each book adds so much to the lives of these characters who lived in tough times and are written so well they come to life on the pages.This is Rob McArthur's story we met Rob in the first book as a young lad of 11 now he is a man a Chieftain in the making. After a battle that he is captured in and held for ransom by Baron La Mont at a very familiar place Wolfsdale he meets the Barons daughter Melinda and after they are left alone and very sensual friendship is started but when the ransom is paid and Rob goes home Melinda is left on her own and pregnant and with hope that the man she loves Rob will return. After a difficult birth of twin boys Melinda has a few problems and is not happy with the man she thought she loved. A while later after another battle Rob does return and finds out that he is a father and does what he thinks is best and takes Melinda and boys back to Cragenlaw.This is a beautiful story that has it ups and downs and fears but as Melinda and Rob open up to each other and they see their love blossom again you will be smiling I highly recommend this one and look forward to more in this series

By Barb Massabrook Frances Housden really outdid herself in the fourth book in her best selling Chieftain series with "Chieftain in the Making" with so many elements that I was never certain what was going to happen next. It was both captivating and magical which I enjoyed very much. I also enjoy when character's from previous books in the series make an appearance. Another exceptional read in the Chieftain series.1091.....In this story Rob is the 21 year old McArthur heir , is caught on the wrong side of the Border and held for ransom where he meets the beautiful Sixteen year old Half Norman and hard Scottish beauty Melinda La Mont. She is the daughter of the Norman Baron Henry La Mont that is holding Rob for ransom. One thing leads to another and Rob and Melinda fall in love. The secret is the Wolfsdale Manor where Rob is being held is none other the place where Rob was born and had been his Grandfather's home for his first eleven years. Woldfsdale had been granted to Melinda's father plus a Barony from King William for his services to the Crown. This piece of information Rob does not share with his beloved Melinda or anyone else for he knows his life would be forfeit if her father ever found out.Promises were made claiming Rob will send Melinda when they find out the ransom was paid and he is to return home to Scotland to his home at Cragenlaw. Of course Rob has twisted emotions not want to leave his beloved whom he had made a woman during his captivity plus her father had been gone an entire month. Melinda promised to wait for Rob. He had gone to look for her about nine months later not realizing she would be giving birth, Rob hoping to get a glimpse of Melinda not knowing if she was alive or dead. He follows a white stag and meets a group of Gypsies camping on the woods and meets a young female dwarf Rowena who can read fortunes as one might call a seer. Two years have passed and Rob finds out finds out Melinda had given birth to his two twin son's, yet never even sent word to him that he was a father. So Rob decides with some help from some gypsy friends and his best friend also a dwarf named Nhaimeth he has been friends since a young lad, to abduct and marry his beloved Melinda plus he never wants his sons to be called bastards. A title he has had to endure his entire life.Melinda has never held her second born twin son named Ralf, the one that looks like the father that abandoned her. As Melinda is not the same happy, free spirited girl, she had been two years ago, when her sons were conceived. Melinda can't even look at Ralf, blaming him being so huge for nearly killing her during the birth. Even at two years of age she has never held him and only will nurse her first born son named Harry and her wet-nursemaid nurses Ralf. He is the reason Melinda blame she nearly died in childbirth, Ralf being so large nearly coming out feet first. Luckily they were able to turn him while in the womb or she most likely would of died.After being abducted by some gypsies things don't go exactly as planned as Melinda fears being murdered and once she finds out Rob is behind these shenanigans she does not exactly give him the warm loving reception he was expecting . Melinda calling him a bastard saying she hates him and then he see's her rejection of Ralf one of his sons, the one that most resembles Rob! Well he no longer has her on that high pedestal plus after the forced marriage. Melinda saying she will never make love to him again definitely breaking Rob's heart and spirit.There is so much misunderstanding and mistrust plus her father wants her only so he can have an his heir the real reason he left her alone with with a captive in the manor for a month! Plus he has hand picked a Norman Knight for her to wed. Then her father wants the heir, the first born child as he doesn't care about the second twin or his own daughter. As he was always disappointed her not being a male a true heir, but to him her first born son will do nicely. As long as they have royal bloodlines is all that matters. Plus his wicked leman is an enemy of Rob's family as well and never sure what she is planning, as she and Melinda dislike each other right from the being. Yet her father, Henry La Mont so worried of appearances lies to everyone else calling his leman Brodwyn, Melinda's campanion. So many lies, deceit, racism treachery with much mystery and suspense, betrayal, unrequited love, enchantment, magic, folklore, and at long last love.I really loved the dwarf story in this book but you will have to read this wonderful book to find out the details. Plus I love the mention of true history in a fictional historical is always wonderful with the mention of actual of actual famous people in Scottish, Saxon, and Norman history.I highly recommend this wonderful captivating page turner Chieftain in the Making" and those of you like me who love history and romance will love Rob and Melinda's story. I also recommend you read all Frances Housden books in the Chieftain Series as they are all reads that you won't be able to put down! The true or false format offers bite-sized delicacies infused with Cox's signature detail and conversational style. It's a great way to take in or review tons of Houdini info, and wild to see some of the liberties such a big "biopic" would dare take. That's not all, though. This book also offers a glimpse behind the scenes of making the miniseries, with cool photos and at least one other surprise. Cox's two entertaining and candid reviews -- one of the History Channel version of the miniseries, the other of the Extended DVD or Lionsgate version -- round out the book. Terrific photos dot the pages, some from the author's private collection. This book is perfect for anyone, really, from middle schoolers on up. (My 16-year-old son looked over my shoulder as I was reading it, sparking some great conversations about Houdini, history, and the challenges of depicting a life on film.)

By Joe Notaro As a leading authority on Houdini, Mr. Cox does a masterful job setting the record straight about what’s fact versus fiction when it comes to Houdini and the miniseries. He does it in a concise and entertaining way. The primer is jammed with high quality color photos and information from the miniseries, as well as some uncommon shots and not widely known facts about the real Harry. I highly recommend it.

By Snow Princess Excellent look into the past to know the beginning of the Sam and Nick relationship. Loved this novella. I have read all the Fatal Series, and when I was done with each book, my husband read them all. I had told him about Fatal Affair and how good it was, so he read it and loved it. The series has something for everyone. We highly recommend the entire series. If you haven't read them yet, start out the One Night With You and then start with the rest of the series. You won't be disappointed in anything by Marie Force. All of her books are great, but we LOVE the Fatal series. Check out her new Quantum series as well...sizzling HOT!

As an avid reader of this series I had hoped for much more than I got. The other novella she wrote was much better in length and storyline. It is not a very fair representation of what the writer can do. If a reader was new to the series and started here I am not sure they would go on. This is the story we've all been waiting for. It just seemed thin and lacked the substance I have come to expect from this author.

Gill This is a beautifully written book and is a must have for all Jagjit Singh/Chitra Singh fans !! The first book on Jagjit Singh was actually a nice coffee table pictorial book called Beyond Time -this was released in 2002 and was contained mostly interviews with people related or connected with him. The narrative style of this book is much better. It has many rare B&W pictures of his family including his parents'. This book seems to be written more from Chitra Singh's viewpoint. It has may interesting aspects about their lives and at times difficult marriage relationship. His human frailties also find mention- his innocent flirtations included !! Of course this does not diminish his stature as a great communicator of melody and emotion.The story of his life is all too human and familiar-beginning with toil & uncertainty leading to meteoric success followed by the depths of pain and then a second wind of enormous creativity. In all probability we will never again see the likes of him-an artist who had trans-generational appeal and who remained at the forefront of ghazal singing & composition from the 1970's to his physical demise in 2011. Many millions of us are lucky to have lived in an era of his music and singing.

Some events and incidents don't correctly fit into the timelines described; some names of important people are wrongly cited. These are indicative of deficiencies in research but they may not be obvious to many readers. While much of the material in this volume is rehashed from Jagjit Singh's pictorial biography "Beyond Time", the additional interviews with Chitra Singh and some previously unpublished pictures of Jagjit and Chitra Singh make it a "must own" collectible for their innumerable fans.
