By Liz :) ARC for author (first book I've read)Nora Ash you blew me away with the plans for this story.We are first introduced to Kathryn who is at a coffee shop when a robbery happen when one of the robbers asks for a cappuccino this causes Kathryn to look up and almost get herself killed if not for Lightning a superhuman cones to save the day.Meanwhile Kathryn is shocked back with the realisation that she could use Lightning saving them for her blog, as the robbers have finally be dealt with Lightning notices that he is being fixed and starts to talk to Kathryn but when it doesn't go the way she is expecting she decides that she will go as far into depth with her blog about Superhumans and even goes as far as saying that the major could be into more than expected.Lightning turns up later that night to give a warning that she could hurt or even killed if she doesn't stop searching, this gets Kathryn freaked out and she pleads for his help. Lightning decided he will mark her to protect her (or so we think ;) ).A couple of days go by and after talking to her closest friend the previous day who is a reporter Kathryn decides she will do some more searching and goes to another city in St Anthony and here the trouble starts and she gets attacked, as luck would have it (or maybe not) her saviour arrives in the form of The Shade.The Shade is known as the bringer of death and surrender and also the enemy of Lightning.Shocked at being saved by him Kathryn says asks there is anything she can do to pay him back.What will he ask?Will Kathryn accept?What will Kathryn find out?

I enjoyed how tenacious Kathryn is about uncovering secrets about the sups and the mayor. Even when she has two sups telling her to back off and keep her nose clean she is still compelled to keep looking. Her first article got her claimed by Lightning and then she got claimed by The Shade when she went looking again. I enjoyed how dangerous The Shade is, such a skilled killer and a very passionate lover. I enjoyed Kathryn’s reaction to meeting Lightning and how she thinks he’s a jerk. By Casie L My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest reviewThe cover is awesome, she looks like the rope to me :)This is a new author for me :) This is the first part in a novella serial. This is for adults only due to the very steamy content. A serial is a book that is published in part to get into the readers hands more quickly. While getting to read each part is quicker than waiting for the whole book, it means that each part usually ends in a cliffhanger and is not a whole story by itself. If this bothers you, collect all the parts and wait until it is whole before reading it.This world that Nora Ash has created is pretty cool and action packed. Her writing style is fun, and it is easy to picture everything in my mind as I read which makes connecting that much easier :) Kathryn is a blogger, so I definitely connect with her, and the fact that she is not a skinny little twig too. I’m not sure what to think of the two supes we are introduced to because I find myself liking the bad guy more than the cocky good guy. But maybe we are tricked by putting labels on people and that is what is happening here, I have to wait to find out though and it might just kill me because this story rocks!!I think if you love superheroes, action, bad guys, and steamy scenes then you will love this story :) I can’t wait for the next part!!!
