From the Back Cover It's not easy squeezing your life into a suitcase and hopping on a plane halfway across the world. Then again, the most meaningful things in life are never easy. In this hilarious comic book, Grace weaves fact and fiction - to create an authentic window into the life of an American living in Tokyo. Joined by her husband, Ryosuke, and their imaginary pet rabbit, Marvin, watch as this young couple tries to carve out a little slice of "home" deep in the concrete jungle of Tokyo (without going crazy).

About the Author Grace Buchele Mineta got into the writing business by accident. Now she lives in Tokyo with her husband, Ryosuke, where she blogs and draws comics about their daily life. Though she will forever be a Texan girl at heart, she has lived and travelled all over the globe. When she's not drawing comics or blogging, you can find her cooking with her husband, hiking all over Japan, and watching crappy daytime television.   Ryosuke Mineta was born and raised in Japan, before flying across the world in search of a really good steak. Instead, he found Grace. He is a firm believer of the phrase "age is just a number" and lives to make the world a more interesting place.

I love learning about the Japanese culture By Faye Lane As a follower of the blog and Youtube channel of the author, I was very excited to hear about her new book coming out, and it did not disappoint! I love learning about the Japanese culture, and getting the insider view from a fellow American is always a treat! Her comics are adorable and put together well, and I feel the book flows very naturally. I love the extra bits, that explain parts of Japanese culture, and differences between it and American culture. What I love most about Grace's writing is that it's very human. It feels natural, and almost as if I know her like I would a friend, not a person I've never met on the other side of the world. She does a good job of bringing the reader into her life, and making them feel like she's sharing herself. On another note, I cannot help but laugh out when I read some of her comics, because I know I would react in a very similar way if put into some of those situations.I can only hope there is more to come in the future, and I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next!

I was struck by her ability to use humor while still being very insightful about life in Japan for a foreigner. I lived there myself many years ago, I am married to a Japanese woman, and I have made a number of trips back since we got married to visit my wife’s family and friends. It impressed me that her observations the culture, its people, etc resonated with my own.For example, it really IS very difficult to get fluent enough to follow and participate in conversations in Japanese with more than one person. Or the use of English on t-shirts, or in other circumstances, is sometimes silly, if not even nonsensical. My wife and I call that "Japanese English," by the way. Or people sometimes ask questions or make observations about oneself and/or one's partner that reveal a distressing lack of sensitivity at best if not an underlying racism at worst. This book is a wonderful collection of her observations. While Grace clearly loves Ryosuke and their life in Japan, she does not hesitate to point out the challenges they face living there. Amongst the insightful and often humorous anecdotes that she draws and writes about she shares some very informative insights into Japanese society. For example, her writing on the 'hikkomori' (housebound people) was particularly interesting.I liked this book so much that I intend to read her two other ones. I will also continue to read Texan in Tokyo. If you have an interest in things Japanese, read this book. And then read her blog. You may find as I do that her blog is a great way to start your day. That is what I do here in California where I live.

Barrett Another very entertaining and informative book from The Texan in Tokyo, Grace Buchele Mineta.I love Grace's style of short comic strips depicting her day today life while being married to Ryosuke a Japanese guy and living in Japan.I like how the strips are intercut with more detailed information and almost journal entries of events depicted in the strips. Her take on the little details of being a foreigner and living in Japan are unique and are usually things I have wanted to know but wouldn't know who to ask.She lets the reader into her life showing all of the joy and confusion of trying to understand and be a part of the Japanese way of life while retaining her "Texan Heart".I also love the fact her husband Ryosuke has drawn two strips and does the forward on all her books ,it's something I find entertaining.I would recommend this and her previous two books to anyone who has a love for Japan and is wanting to know things a travel guide will never tell.

Coriolanus, by William Shakespeare

About the Author Arguably the greatest English-language playwright, William Shakespeare was a seventeenth-century writer and dramatist, and is known as the Bard of Avon. Under the patronage of Queen Elizabeth I, he penned more than 30 plays, 154 sonnets, and numerous narrative poems and short verses. Equally accomplished in histories, tragedies, comedy, and romance, Shakespeare s most famous works include Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, and As You Like It.

Like many of his contemporaries, including Christopher Marlowe, Shakespeare began his career on the stage, eventually rising to become part-owner of Lord Chamberlain s Men, a popular dramatic company of his day, and of the storied Globe Theatre in London.

Extremely popular in his lifetime, Shakespeare s works continue to resonate more than three hundred years after his death. His plays are performed more often than any other playwright s, have been translated into every major language in the world, and are studied widely by scholars and students.

Shakespeare's Greatest By psychephile Shakespeare's last and greatest tragedy, *Coriolanus* dramatizes the conflict between pride and envy--those two antagonists which were the favorite characters of ancient myth.Coriolanus is a man of Virtue, when virtue meant 'manliness' not 'modest chastity.' Above all, he had the virtue of pursuing virtue, which he refused to compromise and which he refused to hide. In contrast, the aristocracy and the mob whom they serve despised Coriolanus precisely because he was good and refused to be otherwise.*Coriolanus* is Shakespeare at the height of his powers, and the real tragedy is that this work is not better known.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A DIFFICULT PLAY BUT VERY RELEVANT TO OUR TIME By LAURA Perhaps (?) not among the best known of Shakespeare's works, this play partakes of his ironic and tragic celebration of Roman ideals, namely, "laus", "gloria", "virtus" in particular. The aristocracy of Coriolanus' Rome "appears" dedicated to high-sounding and noble ends - Roman: honour, bravery, valour, proper governance. The governance is presented as "organic" and therefore just. Pleasure is significantly absent from this universe. Continuation as concept and even mere consequences - are best left out of sight. The character of Volumnia devalues what would be "feminine" ends in the language and imagery "she" uses, a deathly and mechanistic language used to describe her son. Marilyn French has seen similarities between Coriolanus-the-character and another notorious misanthrope, Timon of Athens: the search for honor, fame and the attempt to act according to socially accepted rules moves on to a quest for self-exaltation. Without firm rooting in the community - yet while using this very community - there is only the self, and the self cannot provide its own end. One editor having noted that the adjective "alone" occurs more often in Coriolanus than in any other play by Shakespeare, the isolation the eponymous character finds himself in is typical, as it were, of an opposition found between those heroes embodying the "chivalric" as opposed to the "heroic" or "Herculean" ideal (Antony, Coriolanus, Achilles in Troilus and Cressida.) But Hercules is a demi-god: the characters are not; punishment of hubris - Coriolanus' bravery leads to extreme arrogance, as he sets himself above all men - means banishment, isolation, and death.

7 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Shakespeare Meets Ayn Rand By Bill Slocum Any Shakespeare play that leaves people with totally different interpretations regarding the nature of the lead character can't be all bad. That said, "Coriolanus" suffers from its ambiguity. The first time I read it was in college. My kindly professor laid out the case for seeing Coriolanus as a kind of fascist strongman brought down by his contempt for the people, and I went away comforted in my small-L liberalism. This time, however, reading it on my own, it was hard not to see Coriolanus as something else entirely, a deserving elitist brought down by an envious, parasitic mobocracy who couldn't bear to see him succeed. In short, John Galt in a toga.A more disturbing realization with this second reading was that as a play, "Coriolanus" doesn't hold together. It's considered likely to be Shakespeare's last tragedy, written in 1608-09, but lacks for the vitality or singular inspiration you expect from the seasoned tragedian of "MacBeth" or "King Lear."It has a fantastic first act as I read it, brimming with great dialogue, highly charged scenes, and a well-extended battle sequence. Act I also sets up the core issue of the rest of the play. "He that trusts to you,/Where he should find you lions, finds you hares/Where foxes, geese," is how the bold patrician Marcius puts it to the rabble rousers at the play's start. "He that depends/Upon your favors swims on fins of lead/And hews down oaks with rushes."Marcius will later be renamed Coriolanus, after conquering the city Corioles. Rome proves more of a problem, where he's rejected by an easily-led and ungrateful mob. They have a point about Marcius' coldness when it comes to their need for corn, but he's not a dangerous character. Yes, he's more than a trifle haughty and dominated by a glory-hungry mother with vicious tendencies, but he is no threat to their young republic. He prefers to fight and leave the power trappings to others. He even declines booty he took from an enemy city.Coriolanus being neither villain nor sympathetic hero is a problem with the play. So is the cast around him. There are two types of characters in "Coriolanus": his loyal but impotent patrician friends and the weaselly plebs who oppose him for largely obscure reasons. The characters lack depth, even Coriolanus's mother who goes from diabolic to dishwater in a few scenes. The last four acts mix affecting scenes and great lines with a very choppy storyline. Coriolanus is always turning on a dime. Coriolanus vows not to wear humble robes in order to appeal to public favor, then does. He promises not to lose his temper in a key moment, and then does anyway with gusto. He tells his mother to go away one moment, and the next kneels before her. Coriolanus famously offers fewer soliloquies than any of Shakespeare's tragic heroes, perhaps because he doesn't have an inner self worth knowing.I liked this play more as a Shakespeare buff. It's the flip side of his "Richard II." Richard II fatally overplays his sense of divine right as his subjects prove better than he deserves. Here, the title character is deserving but undone by common men who act in uniformly baser ways. The yin-yang idea of noblesse oblige in Shakespeare's day seems on display in these plays when considered together, presenting a kind of cultural bubble level that tilts depending on the angle of the viewer. On its own, "Coriolanus" is occasionally gripping but ultimately frustrating reading, in need of an inspired director with a properly skewed take to give it the cohesion on stage it lacks on the page.

I am extremely angry with the lie she tells about how she gleaned this information and do not recommend anyone else give her any By Mary Kagiannis This is bulls***. None of this was collected from secret emails or private conversations. It's a collection of quotes from various interviews over the past few years. There was not a single thing in this book I didn't myself already know and read. I can even tell which articles and interviews she took each statement from. I am a huge fan of his and have watched every panel and read every interview. She misrepresented this book and how she acquired the information she put in it. I am extremely angry with the lie she tells about how she gleaned this information and do not recommend anyone else give her any money for something they can google for free.

In this new scene-by-scene break-down of the 1979 film Apocalypse Now, contemporary culture critic John David Ebert frames the work in reference to an archaeology of the film’s images. At the same time, Ebert connects this ancient history with“postmodern” contemporary critical theory, drawing upon Lacan, Derrida, Gadamer, and Cornelius Castoriadis, unpacking and analyzing Francis Ford Coppola’s classic, one of the most famous and wildly inventive works in cinema history. In 23 chapters, Ebert interprets the longer Apocalypse Now Redux version, delving deep into the film’s complex layers of literary meaning and aesthetic significance. John David Ebert has authored ten previous books, including Art After Metaphysics, Dead Celebrities Living Icons, The New Media Invasion, Post-Classic Cinema, and Gods & Heroes of the Media Age.

In this superb analysis and interpretation of the underlying discourse and concept of the film, he provides highly intelligent insights of the inner meanings (intended and otherwise) of the signifiers and philosophical and psychological analogies that the film represents in terms of roles situations and character examinations. Like having a guidebook to the film to open up the depth and contexts in ways unseen. I am now watching the film again this weekend (having seen it several years ago - again). The phrase I remember from before was the snail and the straight razor which leapt into my mind as the simplest thing and Occam's razor. The book brings so much more life to the film and in so doing so explodes the depth and understanding of John's more than capable intellect, and skill, at bringing out the relationships to in depth psychology, philosophy and cultural analysis. Worth every penny, just for that alone.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Apocalypse Now Explained By Michael Downs In his new book, John David Ebert takes up the role of Virgil to the reader’s Dante as both make their way through the Inferno that is Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now―one of the greatest films ever made. It ought to be specified that Ebert actually analyzes the 2001 extended version of the film known as Apocalypse Now Redux rather than the original 1979 theatrical version (and with good reason, which he explains). Have you ever deeply loved a film but couldn’t really articulate what it is about it that so intensely connects with you? Well, if you have experienced this, then this book will be very illuminating for you. What Ebert essentially does in it is unpack what he calls the “meaning cloud” which surrounds the film. This means that he makes explicit much of the meaning in the film that resonates with us, but usually only at an implicit level. Through the use of his conceptual toolkit comprised of concepts borrowed from psychoanalysis (Freud, Jung, Lacan), hermenuetics (Gadamer), philosophy (Heidegger, Nietzsche), postmodern theory (Derrida, Deleuze & Guattari, Castoriadis), and mythology, Ebert teases out and delivers to consciousness the meanings hidden away in each scene. However, JDE doesn’t just tap us into the semiotic depth of Apocalypse Now―he shows us just how much meaning is packed into films in general. If one isn’t already familiar with film theory, then one will never watch a film in the same way after having read this book. Most of the time, reading theory is a very arduous enterprise, even for those of us that love it. However, this book is simply fun to read. I can’t recommend it enough.

Ebert's discussion of the major sequences in the film puts it into a philosophical/mythological context that few (if any) other film commentators these days could pull off. It's a relatively short volume, and I recommend taking it slowly so as to digest the ideas and concepts he brings into the discussion. He draws out subtle details in the film that will surprise you, and virtually guarantee you'll want to go back for another screening (or two). Highly recommended.

Whether you're a Board Member, Executive, established CISO/CSO, IT support engineer, or Developer, you will find value in the pages of this book.Roland applies best practices throughout this book by offering up realistic options and examples for practitioners to leverage in their workplace. Roland's real world experiences are evident throughout the book because he provides thought provoking ways to address:1. Understanding and aligning to the company’s business drivers - the material in this book can be applied to any vertical or industry;2. Being creative in gaining input and support from multiple stakeholders at any level within the organization;3. Building and maintaining accountability with InfoSec throughout the entire organization by using terminology that will be embraced by multiple stakeholders regardless of title or team (eg. Executives, Board Members, Directors, Human Resources (HR), Legal, IT, Project Managers (PMO), and Engineers);4. Building programs that are actionable, able to scale up/down, and reach operational efficiencies quickly; and5. Future considerations such as using innovation and understanding emerging technology that may better align/support the company and business processes.Taking a recommendation right from one of Roland's strategies, I’ve purchased a couple extra copies as gifts for some reading over the holidays.A final thought - I’m confident the coaching and insight provided in this book would have saved me a lot of time and resources earlier in my InfoSec career. I'm also confident that the material in this book will assist me as I build out future InfoSec programs.

PDF Ebook Online The Road of Golden Dust: The Deep Purple Story 1968-76, by Jerry Bloom

A comprehensive story of Deep Purple's golden years 1968-76, which saw the band come from nowhere to have a top 4 US hit with its debut single. Within two years the band was in the throes of potentially dissolving when the record company went into liquidation. Fortunately, focussing on their homeland in Britain they re-launched their career with the groundbreaking In Rock LP in 1970 - the platform that ensured by 1973 Deep Purple was the biggest selling album artists in America. Band break-ups and in-fighting continually rocked the boat before finally calling it a day in 1976 after a brief UK tour. The Road Of Golden Dust documents the ups and downs, drawing on the author's interviews with various band and road crew members including founding members Ritchie Blackmore, Jon Lord and Nick Simper, as well as interviews with Roger Glover, Glenn Hughes, roadie Ian Hansford, tour manager Colin Hart plus co-operation from the management company Deep Purple (Overseas) Ltd, that all help to unveil some new stories that help to explain the whys and wherefores that shaped one of Britain's greatest and most influential rock bands of all time.

Not just for Deep Purple fans – many intriguing facts about the British and American music scenes in the 1960s and 70s, cross-pollination between various bands (and across the Atlantic), and the ugly side of the music business. Of course, the book is quite a delight if you want to know more about the band. David Coverdale taking weight-loss pills in order to be unveiled as a new vocalist, Ritchie Blackmore attacking his replacement Tommy Bolin in a divorce lawsuit against his soon-to-be ex-wife . . . who knew?

He has honored this splendid collection by carrying out meticulous research, accurate descriptions, and sensitive design.. A special note must be given to the book's introduction by Andrew Gurevich and Robert Walter who have provided a solid mythological foundation so that readers (and viewers) will better understand and enjoy this collection. Drawing upon the work of Joseph Campbell, Rollo May, Carl Jung (and others), Gurevich and Walter have linked the mythological and its expression, the unconscious and craftmanship, the shamanic and the artistic. They also provide insight into the value of collections of this nature because they "allow us to more clearly see the emergent archetypes of collective experience." This tribute to Rodger Dashow, the collector of this artwork, is underlined by Steven G. Alpert's preface, which describes the assiduous way in which Dashow ferreted out the "genuine from the bogus." The result of this devotion, by both Dashow and Carpenter, makes this book a resource and a treasure for all who peruse it, savor it, and -- indeed -- devour it.

Cole Hardcover, embossed cloth boards, pictorial DJ, 12" x 11.25", 332 Pages, 400+ Photos, (including 18 field photos). Short bibliography. .Author : Bruce W. Carpenter Photos : Marc Assayag. Published by Editions Didier Millet 2015.This large volume, drawing from the Rodger Dashow Collection, is simply one of the very best books available on the tribal art of Indonesia. The quality of the featured art is much, much higher than anything you would expect from a monograph based on single collection, and the photography matches the quality of the items - perfectly lit and almost visceral in its impact. The art featured is from :The Batak (Sumatra). Nias, Toraja (Sulawesi), Flores, Alaoro, Timor Leste, Sumba, Maluku, Korwar (Irian Jaya), Dayak (Borneo), Timor, Asmat (Irian Jaya)..Of my 700+ tribal art books, this will be one of the first 20 which I carry out of the burning building.

The comic autobiography of 2014 A comedian's autobiography? I wonder if he's ever used humour to deflect from his insecurities? To avoid being bullied? Is there heartache behind the humour? I wonder if he's a manic-depressive? Tears of a clown? Yes, all of that. Discover the hilarious life-story of one of Britain's best-loved comedians in Kevin Bridges' brilliant memoir. 'First of all, I have never written a book before, you probably haven't either, so there we have it; a connection is established between reader and writer . . .' Aged just 17, Kevin Bridges walked on stage for the first time in a Glasgow comedy club and brought the house down. He only had a five-minute set but in that short time he discovered that he really could earn a living from making people laugh. Kevin began life as a shy, nerve-ridden school-boy, whose weekly highlights included a cake-bombing attack by the local youths. Reaching his teens, he followed his true calling as the class clown, and was soon after arrested for kidnapping Hugh Grant from his local cinema on a quiet Saturday night. This was a guy going somewhere - off the rails seeming most likely. Kevin's trademark social commentary, sharp one-liners and laugh-out-loud humour blend with his reflections on his Glaswegian childhood and the journey he's taken to become one of the most-loved comedians of our time. '. . . Hopefully now you'll take this over to the till and I can accompany you for the next wee while. That's the benefit of book shops, reading the little bit and then deciding if the author deserves to be part of your carefully selected 3 for 2 deal, or part of your plane journey, train journey, your next bath, your next shite.' Quite surprising and not what I expected but perhaps it shouldn't have been so surprising. I am a huge fan and very much enjoyed the insight into Kevin's early years. A few titters here and there rather than belly laughs but it's not meant to be a stage show! Now I will look forward to the sequel! Onwards and upwards Kevin!

It`s well written, but I feel that I included too many details just for the sake of it. I suspect that this book could have been narrowed down to a few pages in a newspaper where an interviewer asks how he got to where he is today. But I guess that this book is written because of some management in the background trying to extract as much profit as possible.

Haunted by his time in Iraq, former soldier Schwartz Patton goes off the grid, retreating deep into Montana's untamed wilderness. Now, ten years into his self-imposed solitude, his brother tracks him down and asks for a favor. A woman is in danger, and she needs help...and Schwartz is the only one who can protect her.

Designer-loving city girls like Janelle Keebler don't belong in the wilderness. Unless, of course, they're witnesses to a murder by their psycho drug-trafficking ex-husbands. Still, Janelle can't help the immediate physical response she has to her sexy-as-sin protector that leaves her wanting more than she could have ever imagined. Even if he does make terrible coffee...

Every word, every touch, every kiss ignites a need Schwartz thought he'd lost forever. He can't stop the desperate attraction simmering between him and Janelle, even if he wanted to. Even if it means it could get them both killed.

Stars! The author, this book, the whole series… absolutely outstanding. The Patton family all in their own unique ways have been pretty easy to fall in love with, and Schwartz Patton, the elusive and up to this book pretty much unknown elder brother is no exception. I have been itching for his story for a while, and although Tawna has given her reader’s glimpses of him, and little titbits about him in the previous books, this story was an absolute joy to read, in that I got the complete, no-holds-barred, full HD Schwartz Patton, experience.”I’m here to protect you, not flock you.”Blunt, solitary and lacking in people skills because of it, you just know that the verbal back and forth between, city-slicker Janelle and our reclusive mountain man was going to be laugh out loud funny, and down and deep dirty from the get go, and the author didn’t disappoint. The chemistry between them sparked early one and kept up a sexy and steady burn from then on.”We’re avoiding discs around here.”I love this couple and the situations they managed to get themselves into as the book progressed. But for all the fun there was also a lot of emotion and poignancy as well, a family reuniting, a band of brothers coming back together, not matter what has happened in the past, with no care for the water that has flowed under the bridge. As I said, I have for the most part loved this series, each Patton and the women/men they have ended up with have had some pretty funny and emotional adventures getting to their ’Happily Ever Afters’ but it was such an enjoyable ride, and I hope to see more from this author very, very soon.”Don’t mess with family.”ARC generously provided by Entangled, and it was my pleasure to provide the above honest review.

A fab end to the series By Nicola_1202 Book four in Tawna Fenske's Front and Center series sees the arrival of Schwarz Patton and until now he's intrigued as we know virtually nothing about him. The second youngest in the family has been somewhat of a hermit."Schwarzkopf Alexander Patton, but if 'God' is easier for you to pronounce than Schwarz, I suppose we'll go with that."Protector for Hire brings humour, sexiness and the reappearance of all the characters we've grown to love throughout the series. All in the quest to protect Janelle Keebler from her crazy ex-husband. Schwarz is brooding, gruff, dry, quick witted and, like his brothers and sister, has a dirty mind. And he meets his match, because Janelle may be fearful of her ex, but she's feisty, snarky and also shares his sense of humour."God you're good at that.""You just want me for my Pop-Tarts."This couple were fabulous together. With a natural chemistry, their verbal sparring is both funny and sweet and they create some very heated moments. Tawna Fenske has a writing style that captivates and immerses her reader in the lives of her couples. And I very much liked how couple-centric Schwarz and Janelle's story was because, other than his dog, Sherman, they were holed up in the Montana wilderness and all the focus was on them. I loved Janelle's sassy determined nature and Schwarz? He served in Iraq, it changed him, he has a vulnerable side and he stole a little piece of my heart."You're so beautiful. The most beautiful thing I've seen in my life."Marine for Hire and Fiancée for Hire had me laughing my arse off at the fabulous dry humour and sexy shenanigans, Best Man for Hire pulled more of an emotional punch and Protector for Hire was a perfect mixture of the two. Whilst I would have liked more of an epilogue considering this is the finale, Tawna Fenske has ended this series on a real high-note; I'm sad the end has arrived but I know I'll be re-acquainting myself with the Patton family again.Copy received courtesy of Entangled Publishing for an honest and unbiased opinion.

By Donna Repsher I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review, and here it is.This is the first novel I've read by this author, and it's a gem! There have been quite a number of Wounded Warrior romances , but they generally deal with physical wounds, while Protector for Hire deals with emotional/psychological wounds and it does so without becoming too maudlin. Schwatrz Patton is a big bear of a man, emotionally scarred from something in his military past and carrying a huge load of survivor guilt. Because of it, he's been hiding away in a Montana cabin for a decade. When his brother contacts him and asks him to hide Janelle, the witness to a murder committed by her drug-lord ex-husband who wants to see her dead, he agrees to do just that.Janelle, our heroine, has nightmares of her own, but she also has spunk, and an excellent sense of humor. When these two meet, the sparks begin to fly and they never stop. The dialogue between them absolutely sparkles. Even the explicit scenes are handled gently--another surprise. With a hero the size of Schwartz, I kept expecting several up-against-the-wall scenes and some seriously rough sex--but Schwatrz is a big marshmallow of a man, as kind and as lovable as a teddy bear.In addition to Ms. Fenske's light touch with these two characters, she also does so with the townspeople, and with Schwartz's entire family. The humor is a wonderfully welcome gift and it keeps the reader so thoroughly engaged, that I hated to see this story come to a close.I cannot wait to read follow-up novels about the rest of the Patton family. The author has set the var pretty high with this one.

Its an "arranged mating" basically but Shelly isn't having it because she wants to wait for her mate. So she takes off and leaves her pack because her brother being an idiot and a jerk for forcing this mating. So, her other 2 brothers find her and this said "mate" Ryan who she was supposed to mate just HAPPENS to be her mate for REAL. She runs from him after a smidgen of a tryst which she found out he was the arranged mating and it upsets her naturally and he doesnt seem to understand. She ends up getting really hurt once she found that out. After rescuing her and knowing she got hurt because of him he feels bad and sees things from her perspective and they ahem make up. LOL. Great story. :)

Shelly has been told by her brother the Alpha of her pack that she is being mated to the Alpha of a neighboring pack for services rendered. Shelly is a beautiful, sexy and feisty werewolf and does the only thing she can think of, she runs away.Ryan is a strong, sexy alpha werewolf and he wants his mate, when he scents her all bets are off and he goes after her and catches her. When these two meet, off goes the fireworks. These two mates are so hot they almost melted my kindle. This story has romance, humor, hot hot hot mating and best of all an HEA.I highly recommend this book this author and this series to everyone who loves paranormal romances. I know you will love it as much as I did. Be sure to pick up a copy for yourself you will be very very glad that you did.

This illustrated guide is packed with interesting facts and follows the history of the famous Harley-Davidson company and the development of its famous bikes, which have earned a special place in the hearts of enthusiasts everywhere. The story dates from 1903 when Bill Harley and the Davidson brothers, with no thought of fame or fortune, decided to build a motorcycle that really worked. So successful was it, that it led to the gradual formation of a company that has survived through good times and bad.

Through good times and bad, losing and winning back police contracts, as well as weathering various other vicissitudes, the company has achieved lasting success. In the end, Harley-Davidson came to the ultimate decision of giving its customers what they really wanted, not by providing year-on-year innovations, but by remaining true to the Founders' original concept. The result, as everyone knows, are bikes of mythic status, imbued with a mysterious quality of their own and generating a passion in enthusiasts amounting almost to a love affair. The name has come to personify America and is up there alongside Coca-Cola, Ford and McDonald's.

The bikes are described in detail, not only in mechanical terms, but also with glorious photographs, and will be of interest to everyone who loves motorbikes: even aficionados of Japanese and European bikes, who have never even ridden a Harley-Davidson, will be able to recognize the unique marriage of style and nostalgia and the fact that there are no other bikes quite like them.
